After three years in the Indian market, the Honda Elevate has finally received its much-awaited facelift. Honda Cars India has launched the Elevate facelift at a starting price of Rs 11.80 lakh (ex-showroom). The new facelift comes with cosmetic changes and new features, while retaining the same engine and transmission options.
Sadly, it is not a major facelift, but it does bring some new updates to make it the new Honda Elevate.
In this piece, we’ll take a look at the things you should know about the new Honda Elevate SUV and what makes this a facelift worthy.
What New on the Exterior?

What makes a facelift different at first glance is the exterior, and the Elevate now gets subtle design changes to distinguish it as a facelift. The front now comes with a new HRC-inspired grille that gives it a more butch look. The SUV also gets a new connected LED DRL setup called the Tri-Bar Signature LED design, which looks good on the vehicle. The dimensions continue to remain the same, and the Honda Elevate offers one of highest ground clearance in the segment.
The Honda logo has been moved to the bonnet, while the grille now houses the front parking sensors and camera. The side profile continues with the same 17-inch alloy wheel design, but it now gets a new black finish. No major changes have been made to the side of the vehicle apart from the addition of side cameras on the ORVMs.
Moving to the rear, you will find a new connected LED taillamp, and that’s about it. There are no further changes to the design.
New Colour Options for the Bold New Elevate

The brand has not made major changes to the exterior, but the colour palette has received some new options. The new Elevate is now available in seven colour options. The brand has added a new Nordic Forest Pearl colour for the single-tone option, while the Honda Elevate SUV also comes with a Crystal Black Pearl roof for the dual-tone version.
The Elevate’s colour palette now includes:
- Nordic Forest Pearl (New)
- Obsidian Blue Pearl
- Radiant Red Metallic
- Lunar Silver Metallic
- Platinum White Pearl
- Meteoroid Grey Metallic
- Crystal Black Pearl.
New Convenience Features for Enhanced Comfort
When you enter the cabin of the new Elevate, it welcomes you with a similar layout, but it now has a more premium appeal. The cabin comes with a dual-tone Ivory-Black theme, along with a soft-touch dashboard and door pads. The dashboard is now adorned with Orange ambient lighting for a more premium feel.
For the convenience of the driver and co-driver, it now offers powered front seats. The driver now comes with 8-way powered adjustment, while the co-driver’s seat is 4-way adjustable. For a healthier cabin environment, the climate control system now comes with a PM 2.5 filter. The brand has continued with leatherette seats, front-seat ventilation, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless connectivity and other features.
At the rear, the brand is now offering ventilated seats for the rear occupants to make the cabin more comfortable. Moreover, it now gets a Type-C charging port for the rear passengers. To take the customer experience a notch higher, the Elevate now also offers improved NVH levels, making the cabin experience more comfortable.
Enhanced Safety with New Safety Features

The Elevate was considered a bit less loaded compared to some of its rivals, such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara. However, that is no longer the case.
The brand has now added more safety features to the Elevate. The SUV now offers a 360-degree surround-view camera, front and rear parking sensors, an electric parking brake with auto hold and a multi-view rear camera, among other features.
It continues to offer a camera-based ADAS system that enhances the safety quotient of the car. Overall, the brand has retained the previous safety features while adding several new ones.
What’s Under the Hood?

Now, this is something that could disappoint some buyers. The Elevate keeps using the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine gives out 121 bhp of power and 148 Nm of peak torque. When it comes to the transmission buyers have two choices. They can go for a 6-speed transmission or a CVT gearbox.

Car Junction Insights
The mid-size SUV market is one of the most competitive car segments in India, with options loaded with technology, premium features and powerful performance. The new Honda Elevate feels updated from the outside, but it is not something that turns heads. The exterior changes are limited, while the interior updates are not immediately noticeable, making it look almost the same as the previous version. Honda could have made the new Elevate more of a head-turner with more changes to the exterior. The new Honda Elevate interior has been improved with some new features but it still misses on a few crucial features that the rivals offer.
Under the hood, the Elevate remains the same, which could disappoint buyers looking for better performance or mileage. The 1.5-litre NA engine is efficient, but not as efficient as some of the hybrids in the segment. While rivals are offering turbo-petrol engines, Honda continues to rely on a naturally aspirated engine. However, in NA engine options the Honda Elevate mileage is something that the buyers can look at.
However, the Elevate's biggest strengths are Honda's proven reliability and its spacious cabin. Overall, the new Elevate may not be the most exciting SUV in the segment, but its reliability and practicality continue to work in its favour.
