Honda Cars India reported a mixed overall sales outcome for October 2026, where strong domestic buying was offset by a sharp pullback in overseas exports. The high demand was fueled by peak festive sentiment along with customers’ request for the updated Elevate SUV, Honda's domestic dispatches recorded substantial year-on-year (YoY) and month-on-month (MoM) expansions.
However, lower export shipments led to a drop in total volume compared to October 2025. The table below captures Honda Cars India's performance across domestic sales, exports and combined volume for October 2026:

Commenting on the sales performance, Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India, stated that the company was delighted with its strong sales performance in October, driven by strong festive demand and positive customer sentiment across its model line-up.
He added that the highlight of the month has been the outstanding performance of the New Honda Elevate, which received an overwhelming response from customers following its recent launch.
Car Junction's Insights
We believe Honda Cars India’s October 2026 numbers showcase an encouraging domestic turnaround, with the 70.41% MoM surge proving how crucial festive dispatches and the refreshed Elevate have been for dealership footfalls.
However, we observe that the 88.53% collapse in exports acts as a major bottleneck in overall volume growth. Moving forward, we feel maintaining domestic traction for the Elevate while stabilizing export supply chains will be critical for Honda to secure long-term stability in the market.
