Mahindra XUV 7XO Hits 70K Sales in Just 7 Months

Mahindra XUV 7XO has crossed the 70,000-unit sales mark in 2026, according to the latest domestic sales data. The SUV recorded strong monthly volumes since January, with sales staying above 8,000 units in most months. The August figure is estimated at more than 6,100 units, taking its year-to-date sales beyond the 70,000 mark.

The XUV 7XO started the year with 10,133 units in January, its highest monthly figure so far. Sales remained strong in the following months, with May and June recording 9,338 and 9,244 units, respectively.

XUV 7XO Records Strong Sales In 2026

The XUV 7XO has maintained a monthly average of more than 9,000 units during the year. Its sales peaked in January before settling into a steady range of around 8,600 to 9,300 units in the following months. The estimated August sales of 6,100+ units have helped Mahindra take the SUV's CY2026 tally past 70,000 units.

XUV 7XO Builds On The XUV700

The XUV 7XO is the updated successor to the XUV700, bringing changes to the SUV while retaining the familiar nameplate in a new form. Its strong sales in the first seven months indicate that the updated model has received a positive response from buyers.

The milestone also gives Mahindra a strong start for the XUV 7XO in the premium SUV segment. With sales continuing through the year, the model is expected to remain an important part of Mahindra's SUV line-up.

XUV 7XO Stays Ahead Of Key Rivals

The XUV 7XO has also recorded stronger sales than several key rivals in the premium SUV segment. In July 2026, it sold 8,233 units, compared with 3,301 units for the Tata Harrier, 1,453 units for the Tata Safari and 713 units for the MG Hector and Hector Plus combined. Even with the Harrier and Safari volumes added together, the XUV 7XO remained ahead, highlighting its strong position in the segment.

After the XUV 7XO's strong sales, Mahindra has another SUV update in the pipeline the Thar 3-Door Facelift.
