Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has started delivering the Urban Cruiser Ebella electric SUV across India. Currently, the model is available only in the top-spec E3 variant, priced at Rs. 23.60 lakh for the mono-tone version. While the dual-tone is priced at Rs. 23.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the E1 and E2 variants are expected to arrive later.
Feature-Rich Electric SUV for Modern Buyers
Toyota has equipped the Urban Cruiser Ebella with several premium features that focus on comfort, convenience, and safety. These additions make the electric SUV suitable for both daily commutes and long journeys.
- Advanced Digital Experience: The SUV gets dual 10-inch displays for infotainment and vehicle information, along with a wireless mobile charger and ambient lighting.
- Interior Comfort: Toyota offers electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats, dual-tone upholstery, and a panoramic sunroof to enhance passenger comfort.
- Enhanced Safety and Convenience: Features such as a 360-degree camera, Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) with auto-hold, and Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) help improve driving confidence.
- Modern Exterior Styling: The Urban Cruiser Ebella comes with LED headlamps, LED taillamps, and 18-inch alloy wheels that give it a premium road presence.
- Practical Interior Layout: A floating centre console and tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel add convenience and improve the overall driving experience.
Battery, Range, and Performance
Currently, Toyota offers the Urban Cruiser Ebella with a 61kWh battery pack. However, the company plans to introduce the smaller 49kWh battery version at a later stage.
The upcoming 49kWh battery variant will produce 172 bhp of power and 193 Nm of torque. Toyota claims that this version can deliver a driving range of up to 543 km on a single charge. Therefore, it could become a practical option for both city driving and longer journeys.
Rivals in the Indian EV Market
The Urban Cruiser Ebella enters a rapidly growing electric SUV segment. It competes with popular models such as the Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti e Vitara, Tata Curvv EV, VinFast VF6, MG Windsor EV and Tata Harrier EV.
With deliveries now underway, Toyota has taken an important step in expanding its electric vehicle portfolio in India. As more variants become available, the Urban Cruiser Ebella could attract even more buyers looking for a feature-packed electric SUV.
