Kia India to Increase Car Prices by Up to 2% From July 2026
Google News

Kia has announced a price increase across its entire model range in India. The price hike will come into effect from July 1, 2026. The company has said the increase is due to rising input costs and higher operational expenses. The hike is expected to be up to 2% depending on the model and variant. In some cases, prices may go up by as much as ₹2.6 lakh.
Customers can still buy vehicles at current prices until the end of June 2026. The company has also said it has tried to keep the increase as low as possible by absorbing a large part of the cost internally.
Price Hike Details and Reason
The company stated that rising costs of materials, production, and logistics have forced the revision. The price increase will not be the same for all models. It will vary based on segment and variant. Kia also confirmed that the overall value of each model is maintained even after the price revision.
Impact on Models and Pricing
The price revision will apply across all major models, including Sonet, Seltos, Carens Clavis, Carnival, EV6, and Syros. Depending on the variant, customers may see different levels of price changes.
The automaker has not yet released a model-wise updated price list. Buyers planning to purchase a Kia vehicle may want to complete their booking before June 2026 to avoid higher prices.
Future Plans and Upcoming Launches
Kia is also preparing several new products for the Indian market. The Syros EV is expected to be the brand’s next electric SUV and may launch around August 2026. A next-generation Sonet is also under testing and may arrive with updated features and a larger touchscreen system.
The company is also working on the Sorento Hybrid for India. It is expected to be a flagship three-row SUV and may launch in 2027. It will compete with models like Jeep Meridian, VW Tayron R Line, and Skoda Kodiaq. Some variants may also overlap with larger SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner and MG Majestor.
