Summarize this blog post with:
- Gets dual-tone cabin theme.
- Panoramic Sunroof confirmed.
- Curved Display Setup
- Bookings open ahead of October 26 Launch
Hyundai Motor India has officially revealed the interior layout of its upcoming crossover SUV, the Bayon. With the tagline "Intelligence that moves" and branded as an Intelligent Utility Vehicle, the teaser image offers many interior sightings. This includes a clear look at the SUV's cabin ergonomics, feature additions and seating layout ahead of its upcoming market debut on October 26.
Positioned strategically between the Venue sub-compact SUV and the Creta midsize SUV, the Bayon introduces several upscale features previously unavailable in Venue.
Interior Comfort
The revealed interior image highlights a contemporary, tech-focused dashboard design paired with light-toned upholstery aimed at giving the cabin an airy feel.
- Panoramic Sunroof: Unlike the Hyundai Venue, which only offers a single-pane electric sunroof, the India-spec Bayon comes fitted with a large panoramic sunroof that extends over both seating rows.
- Dual-Tone Upholstery: The seats feature a light grey and dark grey/black contrast theme with textured pattern inserts on the backrests and squabs.
- Powered Driver Seat: The driver’s seat is equipped with electric power adjustment controls on the side panel.
Tech Feature Highlights
Apart from seats and comfort, the cabin is equipped with intelligent and tech-rich features, helping this Hyundai car stand out from others:
Dashboard & Technology:
- Integrated dual-screen curved glass panel housing the digital driver's display and touchscreen infotainment system.
- Modern two-spoke steering wheel design with mounted audio and drive controls.
- Round inner door handles and textured door trim panels.
- Push-button engine start-stop switch on the driver's side.
Rear Passenger Amenities:
- 2 height-adjustable headrests for the rear bench.
- Rear center console extension featuring rear AC vents and power charging outlets.
- 3-point seatbelts for rear passengers.
Car Junction's Insights
We anticipate that Hyundai is leveraging the Bayon to bridge the significant price and feature gap between the sub-4-metre Venue and the larger Creta. Equipping the Bayon with a panoramic sunroof and powered front seats render a broader picture. These features were typically restricted to full-size midsize SUVs and now Hyundai aims to capture buyers who want premium luxury features without paying full midsize SUV prices.
We believe the Bayon will present a tough challenge to cross-segment rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Tata Nexon. Its success will ultimately hinge on how aggressively Hyundai prices it at launch relative to the Venue when final figures are revealed on October 26.
