The Hyundai Bayon is set to launch in India on October 26, 2026, and its first real world images offer a closer look at the SUV. The dealership photographs reveal its exterior styling and cabin layout ahead of the launch.
Hyundai Motor India has confirmed the launch date, while bookings are already open for Rs 11,000. The India spec Bayon will focus on connected technology, a digital cockpit and everyday convenience. Deliveries are scheduled to begin during the festive season.
Hyundai Bayon Design Looks Sharper
The Hyundai car features a modern exterior with distinctive lighting and sculpted body panels. The real world photographs provide a closer look at its proportions and design details.
Its styling follows Hyundai’s latest design direction, giving the SUV a distinctive appearance. The images also help buyers assess its overall look before visiting dealerships.
Bayon Interior and Features
The India spec Hyundai Bayon will get a technology focused cabin. Hyundai has officially confirmed the following features:
- Dual 12.3 inch curved panoramic displays
- Generative AI voice assistant with technology from Perplexity and SoundHound AI
- NVIDIA accelerated Connected Car Navigation Cockpit
- Hyundai Bluelink with more than 70 connected features
- Over the air updates for up to 19 vehicle controllers
- Voice commands in English, Hindi, Hinglish, Tamil, Bengali and Telugu
These features could make daily driving more convenient. The voice assistant is designed to handle conversational requests, while over the air updates allow software improvements without a dealership visit.
Engine and Transmission Options
Hyundai will offer the Bayon with a four cylinder, 1.5 litre MPi petrol engine. It produces 115 PS and 144 Nm of torque.
Buyers will get a six speed manual gearbox or an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). The automatic option could appeal to those who regularly drive through congested city traffic.
Bayon Rivals to Keep in Mind
The Bayon will enter a competitive SUV market. Potential alternatives include the Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq and Volkswagen Taigun.
Its final pricing, variant wise equipment and positioning will determine how it compares with these rivals.
The Hyundai Bayon’s October 26 launch is confirmed, and bookings are already open. Its digital cockpit and AI based voice assistant are key highlights. Buyers should wait for the official price announcement before judging its value against rival SUVs.
Car Junction Insights
In my view, the Hyundai Bayon’s biggest draw is its technology focused cabin, especially the dual screens and AI voice assistant. However, Indian buyers will also look closely at pricing, comfort and fuel efficiency. Hyundai needs to get these basics right if the Bayon is to stand out against established SUV rivals.
