Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) has officially unveiled the New Honda Elevate facelift, priced between Rs. 11.80 lakh and Rs. 18.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Following a series of teasers and spy shots that hinted at dynamic visual tweaks and major feature upgrades, the Japanese automaker chose India as the lead global market for this launch.
Designed with the ‘All New, All Bold’ attitude, it is now positioned as the third of six major product launches planned by Honda for the current financial year. This mid-cycle update is timed strategically to boost sales during the ongoing festive season. Built to retain its core high ground clearance SUV DNA, the updated Elevate directly addresses previous feature omissions. This goes with high-tech conveniences and a bolder road presence.
Exterior Styling and Dimensions
The Elevate facelift adopts a bolder exterior treatment anchored by a redesigned front fascia, updated side profile and a bit newer rear look. It features:
- A new Bold Mesh Grille with a gloss black upper-moulding garnish
- Repositioned Honda branding
- Rugged Tri-Bar Signature LED position lights
- Side gets gloss-black lower garnishes
- Updated roof rails
- Newly designed 17-inch dual-tone milling alloy wheels in a Dark Clear finish
- Full-width connected LED tail lamp
Dimensions and Color Palette
The model retains its older dimensions: 4,312 mm length, 1,790 mm width and 1,650 mm height. It is built on a 2,650 mm wheelbase with a segment-leading 220 mm ground clearance. The color options total 7 shades, headlined by the newly introduced Nordic Forest Pearl (available in single and dual-tone with a black roof). Alongside, these are the existing colours: Obsidian Blue, Radiant Red, Lunar Silver, Platinum White, Meteoroid Grey and Crystal Black.
Refined Cabin and Comfort Enhancements
Inside, the Elevate receives an upgraded 'Urban Active' layout wrapped in a dual-tone Ivory-Black theme with soft-touch materials and active orange ambient lighting. The cabin also adds practical touchpoints like USB-C ports in both front and rear rows. Additionally, some other enhancements include electrostatic touch cabin lights and a PM2.5 AQI indicator with Auto Clean functionality.
Seating comfort upgrades to front and rear ventilated seats, premium leather upholstery, an 8-way power-adjustable driver seat and a 4-way power co-driver seat.
Technology and Infotainment Integration
The driver is greeted by a 17.78 cm (7-inch) HD full-colour TFT instrument display paired with a 26.03 cm (10.25-inch) floating touchscreen infotainment unit. The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, WebLink and audio playback through an 8-speaker surround sound system.
Driver Assistance Features: Upgraded with a 360-degree Surround Vision Camera system, Electric Parking Brake (EPB) with Auto Brake Hold, and front/rear parking sensors for low-speed maneuvering.
Engine, Transmissions and Mechanicals
Under the hood, the SUV retains its reliable 1.5-litre i-VTEC 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. The motor produces 121 PS (89 kW) at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm.
Buyers can opt for a 6-speed manual transmission (certified at 15.31 km/l) or a 7-speed stepped CVT with paddle shifters (certified at 16.61 km/l). All CVT variants gain All-Wheel Disc Brakes as standard equipment.
Safety Package and Honda SENSING
Occupant protection is ensured by:
- 6 airbags
- Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA)
- Hill Start Assist
- ISOFIX mounts
- ACE body structure
The Honda SENSING ADAS tech suite includes:
- Collision Mitigation Braking (CMBS)
- Lane Keeping Assist (LKAS)
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Road Departure Mitigation
- Auto High-Beam
CVT variants introducing a new Low-Speed Follow (LSF) function.

From the Leadership
Commenting on the upgraded unveil of Honda Elevate, Toshiyuki Yanagisawa, President & CEO, Honda Cars India Ltd., stated:
"The Honda Elevate has established a strong connection with customers through its confident design, versatility and enjoyable driving experience. With the New Elevate, we are taking this character forward with a much bolder expression and significant enhancements across design, comfort, technology and convenience. Being the lead market for its sales, India is the first country to launch the New Elevate globally. Its bolder, more rugged styling and enhanced premium features are designed to meet the evolving aspirations of today's SUV buyers. This is the third of our six key launches planned for this financial year. We expect the New Elevate to play a key role in driving our momentum during the ongoing festive season and strengthening our product portfolio offering customers more exciting choices."
Car Junction Insights
Honda has taken direct action to address the Elevate's biggest competitive vulnerabilities. These features like 360-degree camera, rear seat ventilation, power-adjustable front seats and Low-Speed Follow for ADAS are added for this. It will help Elevate close its feature gap with segment juggernauts like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. While the omission of a panoramic sunroof or a strong-hybrid option remains a missed opportunity compared to rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, the retention of a naturally aspirated 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine keeps ownership costs predictable and driving mechanics pure. Overall, the updated feature list makes the Elevate a far more compelling value proposition for suburban and urban SUV buyers.
