Google News

Audi has officially debuted the Q9, marking its entry as the brand's largest and most luxurious three-row SUV to date. Positioned above the Q7, the flagship model introduces new lighting technology, enhanced cabin dimensions and advanced automated driving features. The luxury SUV is scheduled to arrive in the Indian market during the second quarter of 2027 via local assembly.
Dimensions and Exterior Styling
Measuring 5.31 metres in length with a 3.14-metre wheelbase, the Q9 presents a prominent road stance. The exterior incorporates Audi's latest design elements and specialized safety lighting solutions.
- Front Fascia: Features Digital Matrix LED headlights capable of projecting warning symbols onto the road surface.
- Lighting Elements: Includes an illuminated front grille with vertical slats alongside a backlit rear Audi logo.
- Side Profile: Fitted with soft-closing automatic doors and alloy wheel options ranging from 20 to 23 inches.
Interior Features and Engine Specs
The cabin comes standard in a seven-seat layout, with an optional six-seat configuration featuring second-row captain chairs. A triple-screen dashboard setup includes a 12.3-inch driver display, a 14.5-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch front passenger display.
Talking about engine, initial European variants feature a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine producing 299hp and 630Nm of torque. The powertrain pairs with an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission, Quattro all-wheel drive and a 48V mild-hybrid system. Adaptive air suspension comes standard, allowing ride height adjustments up to 90mm.
The base price starts at 108,400 euros (approx. 1.18 Crore), and with this Q9 strengthens Audi's standing in the full-size luxury SUV space. Local assembly in India will help the model compete directly against established rivals such as the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS.
