2026 Maruti Brezza Specs and Features Leaked Ahead of July 24 Launch
Google News

The 2026 Maruti Brezza is set to launch on 24 July, but ahead of its official debut, several important details have leaked online. The leaked information reveals a new turbo-petrol engine, additional features, and a few design updates. In addition, Maruti Suzuki will continue offering the existing 1.5-litre petrol engine, giving buyers more options in the compact SUV segment.
Leaked Details Reveal New Engine and Feature Updates
According to the leaked documents, the biggest update is the addition of a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine that produces 109 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. However, this engine is expected to come only with a manual transmission at launch.
Meanwhile, the current 1.5-litre petrol engine will continue in the lineup. It delivers 98 bhp and 139 Nm of torque and will be available with both a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Therefore, buyers will have more choices based on their driving preferences.
Apart from the engine options, the updated Brezza is expected to receive LED fog lamps, a new alloy wheel design, and an underbody CNG tank for CNG variants. Inside the cabin, Maruti is likely to offer ventilated front seats, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and 64-colour ambient lighting. However, these premium features may be limited to the top-spec variants.
Maruti Looks to Strengthen Brezza's Position
These updates come as competition in the compact SUV segment continues to grow. Perhaps the biggest benefit of the new 1.0-litre engine is that it helps Maruti comply with the sub-4-metre regulations, which could help the company offer a more competitive starting price. Moreover, the added features match what buyers now expect from modern compact SUVs.
The 2026 Maruti Brezza will continue to rival models such as the Tata Nexon, Maruti Fronx, Toyota Taisor, Mahindra XUV3XO, Kia Sonet, Kia Syros, and Hyundai Venue. In addition, upcoming SUVs from Renault, Nissan, and Honda will further increase competition in this segment. With the official launch scheduled for 24 July, complete specifications, prices, and variant details will be revealed soon.
Before the latest specifications and features were leaked, Maruti had already opened Maruti Brezza Facelift pre-launch bookings across India.
