Tata Unveils Premium Cabin Upgrades for 2026 Tiago EV

Tata Motors has released official interior images of the 2026 Tiago EV facelift, showcasing premium features and improved material quality. As the May 28 launch approaches, these updates highlight Tata’s strategy to maintain its dominance in the entry-level electric vehicle segment.

Tech-Forward Dashboard and New Controls

The standout feature of the updated cabin is the inclusion of a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This is thought to be sourced from the Punch EV. This unit replaces the older 7-inch screen and supports wireless smartphone connectivity. Complementing the screen is a new two-spoke steering wheel featuring an illuminated Tata logo, a design element now becoming standard across the brand's refreshed lineup.

The dashboard layout remains familiar but benefits from a fresh dual-tone color scheme. Furthermore, Tata has replaced several touch-sensitive controls with physical toggles on the central console to improve ergonomics while driving.

Interior and Convenience Highlights:

  • Enhanced Visuals: A fully digital instrument cluster with updated graphics provides clearer battery and range data.
  • Premium Seating: New leatherette upholstery with the signature "tri-arrow" perforations and contrast stitching.
  • Comfort Upgrades: The addition of rear AC vents and a foldable armrest for rear-seat passengers.
  • Safety First: Six airbags are expected to be standard, alongside electronic stability control and ISOFIX mounts.

Innovative Feature Additions

Beyond aesthetics, the Tiago EV facelift introduces some segment-first features. Those include a 360-degree camera system and visible via camera pods on the mirrors and grille. This addition, paired with auto-dimming IRVMs and ventilated front seats, elevates the Tiago EV’s positioning.

The interior reveal confirms that Tata is focusing on "feature-loading" to stay ahead of newer rivals. By integrating technology from its more expensive siblings like the Nexon EV and Punch EV, the facelift offers a better environment than ever before. The powertrain is expected to remain largely unchanged, although these cabin refinements make the model more compelling.
