Škoda Unveils Peaq Electric SUV as New Flagship Model

Škoda Auto has officially revealed the Peaq, its largest all-electric SUV to date. The vehicle features a seven-seat layout, advanced aerodynamics, and a maximum driving range exceeding 630 kilometers. Prior to this, Peaq EV exterior sketches were also revealed by the automaker, earlier this June.

Design and Interior Innovations

The Peaq is the second model built on Škoda’s "Modern Solid" design language. It has a 2,965 mm wheelbase and an overall length of 4,874 mm.

The vehicle introduces several brand firsts to optimize passenger comfort and utility:

  • Dynamic Shade Control: A 2.1-square-meter panoramic glass roof adjusts light transmission electronically.
  • Flush Door Handles: Handles extend automatically when unlocked to improve aerodynamic efficiency.
  • Storage Capacity: Features a 935-liter rear trunk in the five-seat setup and a 37-liter front luggage compartment.
  • Premium Audio: Includes a 755-watt Sonos sound system operating through 16 strategically placed speakers.

Powertrain Options and Performance Data

The SUV will launch with two battery capacities and three powertrain configurations. The entry-level Peaq 60 uses a rear-mounted motor, while the top-tier Peaq 90x incorporates all-wheel drive.

The technical specifications for each variant are detailed below:

Variant

Up to 440 km

Peaq 90x

Up to 605 km

The 91 kWh battery pack represents the largest capacity ever integrated into a Škoda vehicle. Charging from 10 to 80 percent takes approximately 27 to 28 minutes across the lineup. The vehicle supports bidirectional charging standards, including Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) capabilities.

The introduction of the Peaq underscores Škoda's transition toward larger, premium electric vehicles. By combining high luggage capacity with rapid charging and long-range capabilities, the brand targets families requiring zero-emission utility. This flagship moves Škoda into direct competition with larger electric SUVs in the global market.
