Skoda Reveals Peaq EV Exterior Sketches Ahead of June 23 Global Debut

Skoda Auto has officially released the first exterior design sketches of its upcoming Peaq all-electric SUV. Scheduled for a world premiere in France on June 23, 2026, the zero-emission flagship will serve as the largest and most expensive production model in the brand’s global portfolio.

The model is going to be the brand’s largest till date, Peaq will offer both 5 and 7-seat cabin configurations. The five-seat variant claims a class-leading cargo capacity of up to 1,010 litres.

Implementation of 'Modern Solid' Design Aesthetics

The released design renders showcase the initial production execution of Skoda’s new 'Modern Solid' styling philosophy. The front fascia ditches traditional structures for a gloss-black panel dubbed the 'Tech-Deck Face'.

This setup integrates slim, T-shaped LED headlight clusters which are visually linked by a prominent horizontal light bar. The lower bumper employs a contrasted, contoured section termed the 'Volcano' layout to add a rugged stance.

  • Profile Elements: The silhouette exhibits a notably high shoulder line, wide D-pillars, and aerodynamic flush-fitting door handles.
  • Rear Treatment: The rear design mirrors the front, utilising matching T-shaped LED taillights and a continuous light strip.
  • Wheel Options: The sketches highlight aerodynamically optimised alloy wheels, expected to range between 19 and 21 inches.

Underpinnings, Variants and Powertrain Options

Technical specifications confirm that the flagship EV will launch globally with two distinct lithium-ion battery capacities and three specific powertrain variants.

The entry-level rear-wheel-drive setup uses a smaller 63kWh pack. Higher-spec iterations adopt a 91kWh battery pack that targets a claimed range exceeding 600 kilometres on a single charge.

The unveiling of the Peaq sketches marks a vital shift in Skoda’s premium electrification strategy. Transitioning from the E-start, Q-end naming convention highlights the standalone importance of this three-row flagship model. Furthermore, all variants support high-speed DC fast charging, replenishing 10 to 80 percent battery capacity in under 30 minutes. This balance of rapid charging and extensive space positions the Peaq as a serious challenger in the premium electric SUV segment.
