Renault Kiger Gets New Evolution+ Variant Starting at Rs 6.99 Lakh

Renault India has expanded the Kiger range with the launch of four new variants. The update introduces the new Evolution+ trim and expands the turbo-petrol lineup. In addition, Renault has made several premium features available at lower price points. The Kiger Turbo range now starts at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the most affordable turbocharged SUVs in its segment.

New Evolution+ Variant Joins the Lineup

The biggest highlight of the update is the introduction of the Evolution+ variant. Renault has positioned it between the Evolution and Techno trims.

The new variant is available with both naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engines. Buyers can also choose between manual and AMT gearbox options, depending on the variant.

The company has introduced the new Evolution+ Turbo MT and Techno Turbo MT variants. The latter offers a manual gearbox option in the Techno trim for the first time.

More Features at Affordable Prices

Renault now offers automatic climate control, wireless connectivity, and push-button start in lower trims, improving value for buyers. Renault has not made any mechanical changes to the Kiger. The SUV continues with its existing engine lineup.

The model remains available with a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, Easy-R AMT, and X-Tronic CVT.

With the introduction of new variants and added features, Renault has strengthened the Kiger's position in the competitive compact SUV segment. The update also gives buyers more choices across both naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol models.
