Renault Duster Achieves Five-Star Bharat NCAP Rating

The all-new Renault Duster has secured a full five-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. This result applies to both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP). These results arrive as Renault prepares to re-establish the Duster brand in India with variants including the Evolution, Techno, and Iconic trims.
Safety Scores and Occupant Protection
The Renault Duster earned 30.49 out of 32 points for Adult Occupant Protection. In the frontal offset test, it scored 14.49 out of 16 points and protection for the head and neck was rated as "good." However, chest and leg protection for the driver were marked as "adequate." The SUV achieved a perfect 16 out of 16 in the side movable barrier test.
For Child Occupant Protection, the Duster scored 45 out of 49 points. It received full marks for the dynamic performance of child restraint systems. Both 18-month-old and three-year-old dummies showed maximum protection in front and side impacts. The vehicle assessment score stood at 9 out of 13.
