JSW MG Sales Grow 14.14% YoY in August 2026

JSW MG has released its August 2026 sales data, reporting a stronger performance compared with the same month last year. The company’s sales growth comes as it expands its portfolio with new energy vehicles in India. The recently launched MG Hector Tomahawk EV and PHEV have added another product line to the brand’s lineup. Dispatches of the Tomahawk EV have now started, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin in September 2026.

MG August Sales: YoY Growth 

JSW MG recorded 7,508 units in August 2026, compared with 6,578 units in August 2025. This represents an increase of 930 units, resulting in a 14.14% YoY growth for the month. The company’s August performance reflects continued demand across its ICE and New Energy Vehicle portfolio.

MG Sales Decline From July

On a month-on-month basis, JSW MG recorded lower sales in August compared with July 2026. Sales declined from 8,158 units in July 2026 to 7,508 units in August 2026, marking a fall of 650 units. This translates into a 7.97% MoM decline.

Tomahawk EV Could Boost MG's Upcoming Sales

The Hector Tomahawk EV is now reaching MG dealerships, with customer deliveries set to begin in September 2026. Its arrival gives JSW MG an additional electric SUV ahead of the festive season, when demand for new vehicles typically gains momentum. The model is available at an introductory price of Rs. 19.49 lakh, while the BaaS option starts at Rs. 13.99 lakh with a battery rental charge of Rs. 4.90 per km.

PHEV Version to Follow Later

The Hector Tomahawk PHEV will expand the model's appeal beyond fully electric buyers, combining a petrol engine with a battery and electric motor. It is priced from Rs. 25.69 lakh, while the BaaS option starts at Rs. 21.79 lakh, with battery rental charged at Rs. 3.20 per km. Test drives and deliveries of the PHEV are scheduled to begin in November 2026, several weeks after the EV reaches customers.
