Maruti Suzuki has commenced road tests for the 2026 Brezza facelift. Recent spy shots near Delhi reveal crucial updates, including emission testing apparatus. The SUV appears to feature a redesigned front fascia and a possible ADAS suite. These changes aim to bolster its position in the competitive sub-4m segment.
The latest test mule featured an emission testing setup. This suggests a new powertrain is being optimized for the vehicle. Currently, the Brezza uses a 1.5L petrol engine, and it does not qualify for lower small-car tax brackets.
Observers speculate Maruti may introduce a smaller engine. This could include the 1.2L Z-Series engine or the 1.0L BoosterJet turbo petrol.
The facelift introduces subtle but modern design changes, where the front profile features a cleaner upper grille design. While the headlights remain similar, the bumper has been redesigned. It now includes triangular fog light housings and a silver faux skid plate.
The 2026 Brezza facelift aims to strengthen Maruti’s position in the sub-4m SUV segment. By potentially downsizing the engine, Maruti could offer more competitive pricing. The addition of ADAS further aligns the SUV with modern safety expectations. These updates will likely ensure the Brezza remains a top contender against evolving rivals.
