Mahindra Vision S Interior Spotted Ahead of Future Launch

Mahindra's upcoming Vision S SUV has been spotted testing once again. This time, fresh spy images reveal a glimpse of its interior for the first time. The SUV continues to remain heavily camouflaged. However, the latest sighting provides new clues about its cabin layout, steering wheel, and future powertrain options.

Interior Takes Inspiration From the Concept

The latest spy shots show that Mahindra has retained several design elements from the Vision S concept.

Key Interior Highlights of Mahindra Vision S

  • BE Steering Wheel: The test vehicle features a steering wheel with BE branding.
  • Modern Cabin Layout: The dashboard appears similar to the concept model.
  • New Gear Lever: The gear selector follows Mahindra's latest design language.
  • Premium Design: The cabin looks clean, modern, and technology-focused.

The BE steering wheel has also sparked discussions about a possible electric version.

SUV Could Get Petrol, Diesel, and EV Options

Mahindra has already confirmed that the Vision S will receive an internal combustion engine. Earlier spy shots also suggested a diesel engine paired with a manual gearbox. However, reports indicate that an all-electric version could also join the lineup later. Unlike Mahindra's current Born Electric SUVs, the Vision S may follow a different approach.

NU_IQ Platform Brings Greater Flexibility

The Vision S will use Mahindra's upcoming NU_IQ platform. This new architecture supports multiple body styles and powertrain options. The platform can accommodate petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric powertrains.

If Mahindra launches an electric Vision S, it will become the first flagship EV not based on the INGLO platform. Current electric models, including the BE 6, XEV 9e, and XEV 9S, all use the INGLO skateboard architecture.

The new platform could allow Mahindra to develop a wider range of future vehicles.

Production Expected From 2027

Mahindra has not announced an official launch timeline for the Vision S. However, production of SUVs based on the NU_IQ platform is expected to begin in 2027. The latest spy images suggest development is progressing steadily. With a modern cabin, flexible platform, and multiple powertrain possibilities, the Mahindra Vision S could become an important addition to the company's future SUV portfolio.
