Mahindra June Sales Breakup: Scorpio and Thar Leading the Lineup

Mahindra & Mahindra reported a strong performance in June 2026, recording total domestic passenger vehicle sales of 60,393 units. This performance represents significant growth compared to both the previous year and the preceding month. Factors like strong demand across its core SUV portfolio drove the sales.

The popular Scorpio/N lineup maintained its position as the brand's volume leader, accounting for over 23% of total sales. Other key utility vehicles, including the Thar/ROXX, XUV 3XO and XUV 7XO, also contributed substantial volumes to anchor the manufacturer's market share.

Year-on-Year (YoY) Growth

Mahindra’s total sales surged by 27.66% year-on-year, climbing from 47,306 units last year to 60,393 units in June 2026. The XUV 7XO led the gains with an impressive 49.14% growth rate, closely followed by the XUV 3XO / XUV 3XO EV at 41.95%. Conversely, older or niche models like the XUV400 experienced steep declines.

Month-on-Month (MoM) Growth

On a month-on-month basis, Mahindra registered a steady 4.09% volume expansion over May 2026’s dispatch of 58,021 units. Growth was primarily fueled by a massive 49.81% demand spike for the XUV 3XO/EV line. However, the volume leader Scorpio / Scorpio N contracted by 10.63% compared to the prior month.

Market Insights

The performance numbers underscore Mahindra's successful strategic focus on reinforcing its internal combustion engine (ICE) utility vehicle lineup while scaling up new electric nameplates. Strong consumer appetite for premium rugged models like the Scorpio and Thar series forms a resilient floor for the automaker's market share.

Simultaneously, the rapid MoM scaling of the XUV 3XO highlights a positive consumer response to Mahindra's updated compact offerings, effectively offsetting marginal wholesale corrections observed in its larger flagship SUVs.
