Kia India August Sales Rise 48.1% to 29,042 Units

Kia India has recorded its best-ever August wholesale performance, dispatching 29,042 units during August 2026. The company continued to see demand for models such as the Seltos and Sonet, while newer products also contributed to its overall performance. Kia's sales also remained higher compared with the previous month, extending its positive momentum in the Indian market.

Kia Sets New August Sales Record

Kia India recorded a 48.1% year-on-year increase in August 2026, marking its strongest August wholesale performance since entering the Indian market. The company added 9,434 units compared with August 2025, supported by continued demand for key models in its portfolio. The Seltos and Sonet remained important contributors, while newer models further broadened the company's sales mix.

August Sales Improve Over July 

Kia India also recorded a month-on-month increase in August 2026. The company dispatched 29,042 units, compared with 28,200 units in July 2026, resulting in a 2.99% MoM growth. This marks another consecutive monthly improvement as Kia heads into an important period for new product activity.

Kia India Sales Cross 2.20 Lakh in 2026

Kia India recorded 2,20,991 units in sales from January to August 2026, compared with 1,83,883 units during the same period last year. This marks a 20.18% YoY growth in sales. The company continued to see strong demand for its vehicles during the first eight months of the year.

Kia Expands Its SUV and EV Lineup

Kia continues to strengthen its portfolio with models such as the Seltos, Sonet, Carens Clavis and Syros EV. The company is also preparing to launch the Sorento in India on September 4, adding a premium three-row SUV to its lineup. The Sorento will be available with diesel and hybrid powertrains, making it Kia’s first hybrid SUV in India.
