Leadership Take
Highlighting the SUV's technological capabilities, Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India Limited, stated:
"With Hyundai BAYON, we are introducing an Intelligent Utility Vehicle that places technology and convenience at the heart of the customer experience. Guided by the philosophy of 'Intelligence That Moves,' BAYON seamlessly integrates Artificial Intelligence, advanced connectivity and software-driven innovation to create a mobility experience that is intuitive, evolving and deeply personalised. Through segment-defining technologies & features such as HMIL's first-ever Generative AI Voice Assistant, NVIDIA-accelerated Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC), Vehicle Controller Over-the-Air (C-OTA) updates and Hyundai Bluelink connected features, BAYON represents the next generation of intelligent mobility for Indian customers."
Car Junction's Insights
By positioning the Bayon between the sub-4-meter Venue and the midsize Creta, Hyundai Motor India is establishing a tech-centric niche to capture urban crossover buyers. Borrowing the 1.5-litre petrol motor from the Creta provides tested mechanical reliability, though the absence of a turbo-petrol or diesel option leaves performance-focused buyers waiting.
Pre-bookings are now active for Rs. 11,000 on Hyundai's official portal and across nationwide dealerships. With this, strong competition developed against rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Victoris and Tata Curvv ahead of its price reveal.
Although India version of Hyundai Bayon is already getting all the buzz due to its launch and pre-bookings, have a look at the specifications of 2027 Hyundai Tucson PHEV.
