Mumbai, June 01, 2026: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) announced a steady performance for May 2026, backed by consumer’s strong engine technology priority. The automaker successfully breached the 30,000-unit mark in local dispatches while accelerating its presence in overseas markets.

In the domestic passenger vehicle market, Toyota achieved positive Year-on-Year (YoY) movement. Domestic wholesales stood at 30,574 units in May 2026, marking a 4.42% growth compared to the 29,280 vehicles delivered during the same month last year. Along with high domestic demand, the brand recorded a major volume boost in its export operations also.

Month-on-Month Performance Trends
On a Month-on-Month (MoM) basis, Toyota maintained stable momentum with incremental gains across the country. Domestic volumes improved from 30,159 units in April 2026 to 30,574 units in May 2026, securing a 1.38% MoM growth. This consistent month-on-month rise was heavily supported by a major historic highlight. This was when the brand officially crossed the milestone of 3 lakh Strong Hybrid Electric Vehicle sales in the Indian market.
