New Turbo Engine, Updated Design and More features added
Tata Motors has officially launched the Tata Punch facelift in India, and the new prices now commence at Rs. 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This mid life update has given Tata an opportunity to refresh the popular micro SUV with a new appearance, features and a high powered engine. As a result the Punch looks and feels more modern and value packed to buyers.
In addition, Tata Motors offers the new Punch facelift in 6 colours options and 6 main-variants. This will help buyers to buy a model that fits their needs and budget.
New Engine Options for Better Performance
The 2026 Tata Punch facelift comes with two petrol engine choices. The highlight, however, is the new 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine. This engine produces 118 bhp and 170 Nm of torque, which makes the SUV quicker and more fun to drive. Tata pairs this engine with a six speed manual gearbox.
Along with this, Tata continues to offer the 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. It delivers 87 bhp and 115 Nm of torque and comes with five speed manual and AMT gearbox options. Power goes to the front wheels in all variants.
Perhaps buyers looking for lower running costs can also choose the CNG versions, which Tata offers across multiple trims.
Bold Design Changes on the Outside
On the outside, the Tata Punch facelift looks sharper and more stylish. It gets new front and rear bumpers, updated LED DRLs and headlamps, and connected LED tail lamps. In addition, Tata has added fresh skid plates and new alloy wheels, which improve the SUV’s road presence.
However, safety remains a strong point. The new Punch has earned a five star Bharat NCAP safety rating, which adds more trust for buyers.
Feature-Rich and Tech-Savvy Interior
Inside the cabin, Tata has added many new features. The Punch facelift now offers a 10.25 inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 360 degree camera, and automatic climate control. In addition, it gets six airbags, TPMS, wireless charger, Type C charging ports, and drive modes.
Moreover, comfort improves with extended thigh support seats, a voice assisted electric sunroof, and an auto dimming IRVM.
