Tata Motors has released the 2026 Punch.ev facelift officially in the Indian market, with some exterior & battery upgrades. The model is initially priced between Rs. 9.69 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs. 12.59 lakh for different variants. With this, the brand aims to keep the competition tight against its EV contenders in the micro-SUV electric market.
Design Revisions and New Color Palette
The revamped Punch EV assumes a sleeker and more tech-orientated look, somewhat similar to Nexon EV and Curvv EV. The changes are mostly on the front and rear sides of the car, while the original silhouette remains similar. This has been done to differentiate it from the previous updated versions.

- Exterior Enhancements: The front facia displays more aero-dynamic grille and a modified bumper with sharper creases. The black trim strip between DRLs has been removed and replaced with full width LED light bar
- Rear Styling: Adopting from its ICE version, rear side features connected LED tail lamps and restyled rear bumper with silver scuff plate.
- Aesthetics: The update introduces new color options, including "Bengal Rouge", "Fearless Yellow", and "Caramel". It also receives new aero-optimized 16-inch alloy wheels designed to reduce drag.
Enhanced Range and Interior Technology
The greatest mechanical change is the introduction of a larger 40kWh battery pack. This flagship variant offers a claimed C75 real world range of 355 km (468 km ARAI), targeting buyers seeking better highway capability. The existing 25kWh and 35kWh battery options continue to be available for city-centric users.

- Performance: The 40kWh version delivers 121 bhp and 190 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h sprint in under 9 seconds.
- Charging: Using a DC fast charger, the vehicle can now charge from 20% to 80% in 26 minutes. With a 15-minute top-up, this car can easily run up to 135 km.
- Cabin Tech: Inside, the SUV gains a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Ventilated front seats and a voice-assisted sunroof for better cabin comfort.
- Safety: Standard safety features include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and a 360-degree camera system.
The 2026 Tata Punch.ev facelift strengthens Tata’s "Acti.ev" platform by bridging the gap between entry-level mobility and premium features. The 40kWh battery pack and a lifetime battery warranty offers, directly addresses range anxiety and long-term ownership concerns. This update ensures the Punch.ev remains a strong competitor against Citroen eC3 and the upcoming Mahindra XUV 3XO EV.
