Tata Nexon Pure+ PS Launched: India’s Most Affordable Panoramic Sunroof SUV
Google News

Tata Motors has expanded its compact SUV lineup with the introduction of the new Nexon Pure+ PS trim. Priced starting at Rs. 9.59 lakh (ex-showroom), this variant makes Nexon as the most affordable vehicle under 10 lakh with a panoramic sunroof. The new trim is strategically placed between the mid-spec Pure+ S and Creative variants. This aims to offer premium aesthetics at a more accessible price point.
Feature Enhancements and Interior Specifications
The Pure+ PS trim introduces several premium amenities previously reserved for higher-tier variants. By launching this trim, the panoramic sunroof feature is made approximately Rs. 1.73 lakh more affordable compared to previous Creative+ PS trim.
Beyond the sunroof, the Pure+ PS is equipped with:
- Infotainment: A 10.25-inch touchscreen system featuring wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
- Audio: A 6-speaker sound system, an upgrade from the 4-speaker setup in the Pure+ S.
- Convenience: Cruise control, power-adjustable ORVMs, and rain-sensing wipers.
- Safety & Visibility: Automatic LED headlamps and a rear parking camera with sensors.
The variant also retains standard features from lower trims, such as a semi-digital instrument cluster with a 4-inch MID, rear AC vents, and steering wheel-mounted controls.
Powertrain Options and Pricing
Tata is offering the Pure+ PS across its entire range of internal combustion and alternative fuel engines. This includes the 118hp turbo-petrol, the 113hp diesel, and the 99hp CNG variants, with choices of both manual and AMT gearboxes.

The launch of the Pure+ PS trim shows a trend where manufacturers are democratizing high-end features like panoramic sunroofs. This is to attract budget-conscious yet aspirational buyers. By lowering the entry barrier for this specific feature to sub-10 lakh, Tata Motors strengthens the Nexon’s competitive edge against rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Kia Sonet in a highly saturated compact SUV segment.
