While yearly performance remained strong, month-on-month results showed mixed trends due to typical market adjustments after January volumes. Total passenger vehicle sales stood at 63,331 units in February 2026, compared to 71,066 units in January 2026, showing an 11% month-on-month decline. The reduction was mainly driven by lower domestic volumes, while exports partially balanced the overall performance.

Exports improved from 844 units in January 2026 to 1,002 units in February 2026, registering a 19% month-on-month growth. Rising overseas demand supported export performance during the month.
EV sales, including domestic and exports, declined slightly from 9,052 units in January 2026 to 8,385 units in February 2026, marking a 7% decrease on a monthly basis. Despite this dip, EV volumes remain significantly higher compared to last year.
February 2026 performance highlights Tata Motors’ steady position in the passenger vehicle market. Strong YoY growth across domestic, export, and electric vehicle segments shows improving customer confidence and growing EV adoption.
Although monthly sales softened slightly compared to January, the company maintained solid volumes above 63,000 units, indicating stable demand conditions.
With continued focus on electric mobility, product innovation, and expanding exports, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles is expected to sustain growth momentum in the coming months.
