In addition, Tata Motors continues to gain momentum across its popular models, especially SUVs and hatchbacks. Perhaps this steady demand reflects the brand’s focus on fresh products and improved features.
Tata Motors recorded a 47.1 percent growth in January 2026 compared to 48,316 units sold in December 2025. This sharp rise highlights strong buying sentiment at the start of the year.
Moreover, electric vehicles also played an important role. Tata Motors sold 9,052 EVs globally in January 2026. This figure is over 72 percent higher than its EV sales in December 2025. However, the company continues to balance both ICE and EV models well, which helps it reach a wider customer base.
The Tata Nexon recorded its highest ever monthly sales in January 2026 with over 23,000 units sold. With this achievement, the Nexon has also crossed the 10 lakh cumulative sales milestone, which marks a major success for the SUV.
Similarly, the Tata Punch delivered an outstanding performance with over 19,000 units sold in a single month. In addition, the Punch has crossed 7 lakh cumulative sales, making it one of the fastest-selling cars in the industry.
Meanwhile, the Tata Tiago also reached an important milestone by crossing 7 lakh cumulative sales, further strengthening Tata’s hatchback lineup.
According to Tata Motors, customer interest remains strong in new and updated models. These include the Sierra, petrol versions of the Harrier and Safari, and the facelifted Punch. Therefore, Tata Motors has increased Sierra’s production to meet rising demand.
Overall, Tata Motors’ January 2026 performance reflects solid planning, strong products, and growing customer confidence.
