Tata Motors delivered a strong start to April 2026 with total passenger vehicle sales of 59,701 units, registering a 31.1% year-on-year growth over the 45,532 units sold in April 2025.
The domestic passenger vehicle business remained the biggest contributor, with 59,000 units sold, reflecting a 30.5% increase compared to the same period last year. The international business also showed solid growth, recording 701 units, which marks a sharp 110.5% increase year-on-year.
The electric vehicle segment continued its upward momentum, reaching 9,150 units, registering a notable 72.1% growth compared to April 2025.
Tata Motors has started the new financial year on a strong note, backed by growing demand in both the passenger vehicle and electric vehicle segments. The consistent growth in domestic sales and rising EV volumes indicates positive momentum for the company in the coming months.
