
May 01, 2026, Mumbai: Mahindra & Mahindra has started the new financial year on a positive note, reporting steady growth in its passenger vehicle segment. The company’s Utility Vehicle (UV) portfolio continued to drive its domestic performance, reflecting strong market demand for its SUV lineup.
Mahindra’s passenger vehicle segment, entirely driven by Utility Vehicles, posted healthy year-on-year growth in April 2026. The company sold 56,331 units in the domestic market, recording an 8% increase compared to 52,330 units sold in April last year. This steady performance highlights Mahindra’s strong position in India’s SUV market.

Commenting on the sales performance, Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said, “The year 2027 has begun on a positive note in April by achieving SUV sales of 56,331 units, a growth of 8%.”
Mahindra’s pure-play SUV strategy continues to support its passenger vehicle growth. With a strong start to FY27, the company remains focused on strengthening its presence in the Indian passenger vehicle market.
