Kia India Records 27,586 Units in May 2026, Up 23.62% YoY

Kia India reported its highest-ever May sales in 2026, selling 27,586 units in the Indian market. The company recorded a 23.62% growth compared to 22,315 units sold in May 2025. Strong demand for models like the Seltos, Sonet, Carens Clavis, and Syros helped boost sales. The positive performance highlights Kia's growing presence in the Indian passenger vehicle market.

Sales Rise on Both YoY and MoM Basis

Kia India witnessed growth on both yearly and monthly bases in May 2026. The company sold 27,586 units during the month, which was 5,271 units more than the 22,315 units sold in May 2025, resulting in a healthy 23.62% YoY increase. Compared to April 2026, sales rose by 300 units from 27,286 units, translating into a 1.10% month-on-month growth. The steady increase in volumes reflects continued demand for Kia's SUV and MPV lineup across the Indian market.

Strong Product Demand Drives Record May Performance 

Kia India's strong performance in May 2026 was supported by continued demand for its popular models, including the Seltos and Sonet. The company also received a positive response for newer vehicles such as the Carens Clavis and MY26 Syros. In addition, the wider availability of automatic transmission options across several models has helped attract more buyers.

The positive monthly performance was reflected in the company's year-to-date results as well. Between January and May 2026, Kia sold 139,197 units, compared to 121,514 units during the same period last year, registering a growth of 14.55%. Supported by a growing product portfolio and expanding sales network, Kia continues to strengthen its position in the Indian passenger vehicle market.
