Hyundai India to Hike Prices Across Model Range from June 2026

Hyundai Motor India Limited has announced that prices on all of its models are being revised effective from June 1, 2026. This price-hike is expected to increase rates by 1% on each of Hyundai’s models in India. The decision comes as the automotive industry faces sustained pressure from fluctuating input costs and evolving regulatory requirements.

Strategic Price Adjustment and Impact

The upcoming price hike is expected to range between 1% and 3%, depending on the specific model and fuel variant. If talking of exact numbers, this hike is expected to go as much as Rs. 12,800. Hyundai, currently the second-largest carmaker in India, cited the rising cost of raw materials as the primary driver for this adjustment. The raw materials are specifically steel and precious metals used in catalytic converters.

Additionally, the company is factoring in the costs associated with integrating advanced safety features ahead of upcoming Bharat NCAP mandates.

Key Highlights of the Price Revision:

  • Uniform Application: The increase applies to all segments, from the entry-level Grand i10 Nios to the flagship Ioniq 5 electric SUV.
  • Price Protection: Customers who have already booked vehicles with a committed delivery date before June 1 may be exempt from the hike. Although, this is subject to dealership terms.
  • Variant Specifics: Higher trims featuring advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are expected to see the steepest price increases.

Industry Trends and Market Outlook

This move by Hyundai follows similar announcements from other major OEMs, including Maruti Suzuki and Tata Motors. These giants have also implemented price corrections earlier this quarter. Analysts suggest that the hike may cause a temporary cooling in bookings. But, the strong demand for SUVs like the Creta facelift is likely to sustain Hyundai’s growth throughout the fiscal year.
