Honda’s upcoming electric SUV based on the 0 Alpha concept has been spotted testing in Manali, giving the clearest look at its cabin and early design. The heavily camouflaged prototype reveals a tech-focused interior and concept-inspired styling, highlighting Honda's next step in electric mobility.
The SUV has been undergoing real-world testing across India for months, and this latest sighting confirms that Honda is seriously preparing it for production. Expected to launch in 2027, the model will be positioned in the premium midsize electric SUV segment.
Interior Reveals Massive Screen Setup and Digital Displays
The Honda 0 Alpha EV interior spotted in Manali features a large landscape infotainment touchscreen and a fully digital instrument cluster. This setup is bigger than current Honda India models and clearly focuses on connected EV technology. The cabin strongly highlights a shift toward a modern digital-first driving experience.
The system is expected to support wireless smartphone connectivity, navigation, connected car functions, and EV-specific features. Physical climate controls are likely retained for practical usability in daily driving conditions. Moreover, the steering wheel gets a new multi-function design aligned with a minimal and clean layout.
Exterior Styling and Production Plans
The SUV shows a boxy design with an upright stance, squared edges, a tall roofline, and a large glass area for better space. The front gets rectangular LED lighting linked by a slim black strip and a clean styling theme. The rear carries vertically stacked tail lamps and a simple tailgate design.
Honda will manufacture this electric SUV in India for both domestic and export markets. It will compete in the midsize EV segment against Hyundai Creta EV and Tata Sierra EV. The model is planned for launch in 2027 and supports Honda’s global EV expansion strategy.
Honda’s Expanding EV Roadmap for India
Honda is building a strong India product lineup with multiple upcoming cars across segments. The company has already launched the new Honda City and showcased the ZR-V hybrid SUV for future launch. This reflects a clear push to strengthen its presence in the Indian market.
The brand also plans two India-focused SUVs by 2028, including sub-4-metre and midsize models. These vehicles will be developed with local market needs and requirements in mind. Overall, Honda aims to launch around 10 new cars in India by 2030 as part of its long-term EV strategy.
