Overview of BYD Seal

BYD's Seal is a luxury electric sedan available in three variants: Dynamic, Premium and Performance. It comes with a cell to battery body pack that reduces the overall car weight by up to 10 kg.

BYD Seal also focuses on aerodynamic design. It has a 0.219 drag coefficient that reduces air resistance at higher speeds. This sedan uses double wishbone front suspension and multi link rear suspension for its chassis setup.

Inside BYD Seal gets a 15.6 inch rotating touchscreen and a 10.25 inch digital driver display. Higher variants also offer many additional features such as electronic child lock and Intelligence Torque Adaption Control (ITAC).

Which BYD Seal Variant Fits Your Needs?

BYD Seal is available in three variants: Dynamic, Premium and Performance. Each version uses a different battery and powertrain setup so the right choice depends on whether you prioritise range, features or performance.

  • For buyers focused on value and everyday efficiency: Seal Dynamic runs on a smaller 61.44 kWh battery with a single rear motor to make it the most accessible way into the Seal experience. However it does not come with a genuine leather steering wheel or driver's seat memory function available on higher variants.
  • For buyers who want the longest range without stepping up to AWD: Seal Premium moves to larger 82.56 kWh battery for highest claimed range in the lineup while keeping single motor RWD layout. It adds a genuine leather steering wheel, head up display and memory enabled driver's seat.
  • For buyers seeking outright performance: Seal Performance tops the range with a dual motor AWD setup and frequency selective dampers for sharper handling. It comes with 82.56 kWh battery and adds intelligent torque control for a quicker 0 - 100 km/h sprint.
